Platform Images Rules

There are no explicit rules for the usage of Microsoft’s trademarked products; however, caution is recommended when using them. It is advisable to follow similar guidelines as those for PlayStation products, which include:

  • Do not alter the product image in any way, such as changing its shape, cropping, adjusting the position of hardware parts, modifying color schemes, applying effects, displaying images of damaged products, cutting trademarked symbols (including hiding them), avoiding overlap of trademarks with callout lines;
  • Refraining from adding embellishments to the product image;
  • Abstaining from extracting parts of a product image, and not reducing the visibility of an image by placing it on a complex background.

 Below are some accurate examples of control image displays.
